Forward Fin Dent has signed for SCEFL side Kennington on a dual registration.

The Academy scholar and former Youth player made 3 first team appearances last season and has been involved with the squad through pre-season, including scoring the winner against Brightlingsea Regent two weeks ago.

Supporters may have noticed him absence from the squad for our latest two friendlies as he joined the Kennington squad, scoring against Ashford FC on Tuesday night and also appearing against Hythe Town on Saturday.

“Denty”, son of former Invicta goal scorer Nick Dent, was top goalscorer last season both for our Academy team and for our U18s where he was awarded the Paul Sykes Trophy.

“It’s a great move for Fin to be able to go and continue his development and test himself in senior football. This will allow him to play regularly at a decent level of football and he will also be available for us. We’ve seen what he is about during pre-season and he has made an impact with the goals he has scored for both clubs and we want to see him continue to progress through the coming campaign.”

“Denty deserves this opportunity to show what he can do as he’s worked so hard on his game to get to this point and willl no doubt continue to do so . He’s had an impressive pre season and we are proud of him.”
