A product of the Folkestone Invicta Youth & Folkestone Invicta Academy systems, Lenny Atherton made his debut for the first team in December 2021 in a 5-0 win against Haringey Borough.

Lenny went on to score his first goal for the club later that month against Merstham, a goal voted Invicta TV Goal of the Month for December 2021.

“Afe” was part of the side that finished runners up in the Kent Senior Cup final in 2022, coming on as a substitute against Dartford in the Final.

He has spent time on loan at Deal Town during the 22/23 season, scoring twice in six appearances and finishing runners up in the Kent Senior Trophy 2023.
