Kit Sponsor Dom Hands It Over
Dom Castle has continued his generous sponsorship of the kit and last Saturday he presented the club with a new home one for the forthcoming 2022/23 season, on behalf of his company, Active Community Development who run the club’s successful Academy, which will be taking in a new influx of students this season as it’s now in its second year.
For those of you that don’t know Dom, he had a colourful footballing career, actually scoring the old Folkestone Town club’s last ever senior goal in a 2-1 defeat at Burnham, with a 1-0 defeat at home against Corinthian a week later being their last ever game, before they went into liquidation. As well as also playing locally for Dover and Ashford he also played for Double Flower in Hong Kong where he scored a goal for them in the Semi-Final of their equivalent of the F.A. Cup.
He has also stuck to his promise as when he did the kit sponsorship for the first time, he said then that he didn’t see the sponsorship as a one season sponsorship, as he mentioned; “I’d like to continue sponsoring the club in one way or another.“
Everyone at Folkestone Invicta would like to thank Dom for his ongoing sponsorship and it’s great that a former player is helping in this way, it is much appreciated, and no doubt we shall see him at some of our home games this season.
With David Gandy not available, we got goalkeeper Connor Collins and Josh Vincent to model the new kit, and I’m sure you agree it looks very smart.
Don’t forget if you buy an Early Bird season ticket, you’ll be entered into the draw to win one of the new smart home shirts.
