It’s been a very long time since the players left the BuildKent Stadium pitch following Ian Draycott’s late winner against Hornchurch in November and a lot of things have changed at the ground in that time. We know many of you can’t wait to get back to the ground to watch the black and amber stripes on the pitch and we are delighted that we can now give you four dates for your diary:

We return to the BuildKent Stadium Pitch on Saturday 26th July with the visit of Pitching In Isthmian South East side Ramsgate. We last met Ramsgate at the beginning of last preseason in a game played behind closed door at their Southwood Stadium, which Invicta lost 2-1. This game will see us contest the traditional Sid Burvill trophy.

Welling United will visit the following Saturday 3rd July. The Vanarama National South Club haven’t played since 16th February when they won a 7-goal thriller over Ebbsfleet before their season was brought to a premature end.

Eastbourne Borough will visit the following week on Saturday 10th July. They too last kicked a ball on that Tuesday night in February with a 4-2 win over Billaricay Town. Borough were flying high, 3rd in the Vanarama National South table when their season came to an end. Like Welling, Borough played one match in front of a crowd last season in early December.

Finally we will be delighted to host neighbours Hythe Town on Saturday 17th July for what will be a very special day. The Pitching In Isthmian South East Club will join us for the unveiling of our brand new Harry Lester scoreboard. Long time Invicta fan Harry sadly passed away earlier this year and to honour his long support and service of the club we are installing a clock and scoreboard at the ground. Many of you will know that one of Harry’s many previous jobs at the ground was to rewind the old clock at half time so that it could run again for the second 45 minutes.

We would like to thank all 4 clubs for agreeing to join us at the BuildKent Stadium and, government restriction permitting, can’t wait to see as many of you as possible at the games. Please keep a eye out for more news on arrangements on crowd attendance for these fixtures as well as any more additions to our preseason schedule as manager Neil Cugley looks ahead to what will hopefully be a fun and successful season at the BuildKent Stadium.
