Folkestone Invicta have been drawn at home to fellow Isthmian Premier Division side Haringey Borough in the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, with the tie due to be played on Saturday 7th October at the Alcaline Stadium.
Invicta reached the 3rd Round last season, beating Whitehawk, Horsham and Beaconsfield before a controversial exit to Leiston on penalties.
Speaking this afternoon Micheal Everitt said: “Make no mistake, that’s a tough draw. They’ve shown how dangerous they can be, knocking both Dulwich Hamlet and Tonbridge Angels out of the FA Cup already this season to set up a tie with Dover Athletic the week before they’ll travel to us and we will need to be at our very best. However we have to be happy with a home draw. We’ve had good runs in this competition the last couple of years and we want to do well in it again.”
More details regarding the tie will be communicated in due course.
With the winner of the tie due to play in the next round on Saturday 28th October, it means our Isthmian Premier Division fixture scheduled for that date will be postponed whatever the outcome.
