Folkestone Invicta have been handed two home draws in the opening rounds of the DFDS Kent Senior Cup.
Invicta were finalists of the competition at Chatham’s Bauvill Stadium two seasons ago, losing to Dartford 5-2. We went on to exit the competition at the first round stage last season with a 3-1 defeat at home to Cray Valley (PM)
Chatham were last season’s beaten finalists, losing on penalties to Margate at Gillingham’s Priestfield Stadium back in May.
The tie is due to be played before the end of September which means Chatham will visit the Alcaline Stadium twice in the opening weeks of the season, with Kevin Hake’s men also due to make the trip for our first home league fixture of the season on Tuesday 15th August.
With National League South and higher entering the competition in the second round, it is Jay Saunders’ Tonbridge Angels who will travel to face the winners, with the second round to be completed by the end of November.
Details of the first round tie will be communicated in due course.
