Invicta return home on Saturday with Chichester City the visitors to the Alcaline Stadium.
A 1-0 win at Wingate & Finchley on Tuesday evening opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Isthmian Premier Division. Second-placed Brentwood Town host in-form Aveley on Friday night, hoping to cut the gap back to just a point ahead of Saturday’s fixtures.
The fixture pits the joint-second best defences in the division against each other – both sides having conceded just 17 goals which is only bettered by Chatham Town (12).
Invicta are the current highest scorers in the division having reached 50 goals on Tuesday night, Chichester City the joint-second lowest scorers but having played three to four games fewer than most other clubs.

From The Manager
Jay Saunders spoke ahead of Saturday’s match:
“Chichester are a really good footballing side. We drew down at their place on the opening day of the season, a game I felt we should have won in the first half then maybe could have lost in the second so a point was a fair result.
They’re a good, well-drilled side and since Tuesday we’ve been preparing for them, making sure the players are right. It’ll be great to be back home because it feels like a while since we’ve had a home game now, so it’ll be good to be back in front of our fans, I’m sure they’ll be there in number again to back us.”
The Opposition
Having narrowly missed out on the Isthmian Premier Division playoffs on the final day of the season, Chichester City currently sit 17th in the league but have games in hand on every other side in the division.
