Folkestone Invicta is delighted to welcome Andy Smith as our new first-team goalkeeping coach.
Andy joins from Eastbourne Borough, having left the National League South side earlier this summer. Before that, he spent a season working with manager Jay Saunders at Tonbridge Angels and has also coached at Dulwich Hamlet.
Andy was part of the successful Bracknell Town team in 2021/22 that won the Isthmian South Central – with his goalkeepers keeping 24 clean sheets and only conceding 12 goals.
On Andy’s appointment, Jay Saunders said: “It’s great to have Andy on board. We worked together at Tonbridge and the only reason he left was to take up a full-time opportunity elsewhere.
“I’m excited to work with him again. He’s an excellent goalkeeping coach and a big addition to our management team.”
Andy was in the dugout for Saturday’s opening trip of the season to Chichester and Tuesday evening’s draw against Cray Wanderers.
Welcome to Cheriton Road, Andy.
