Folkestone Invicta are delighted to announce the signing of Marvel Ekpetita.

The central defender joins Invicta having spent the latter half of last season at Southern Premier South side Hayes & Yeading United.

Marvel began his career at the academies of Oxford United and Stevenage before making his breakthrough into senior football at North Greenford United.

Spells at Chelmsford City, East Thurrock, Bishops Stortford and Hungerford Town lead to an eventual move to Newport County of League 2.

During his time in Wales, Marvel had two spells in Kent on loan at Ebbsfleet United before departing in 2020.

Spells at Macclesfield, Billericay Town and Dulwich Hamlet followed before his move to Hayes & Yeading in October.

Manager Andy Drury spoke about his latest summer signing: “I’m delighted to sign Marvel. He is another who we tried to get around Christmas time last year but it couldn’t happen. He’s a very good defender a good leader, organiser with good experience and is a winner and I’m looking forward to working with him next season.”
