Invicta follow up Saturday’s 4-2 win at Cheshunt with a trip to North London to take on familiar foes Wingate & Finchley on Tuesday night.
The game marks the halfway point of Invicta’s season, with 25 games played in all competitions and 25 games remaining following the trip to the Maurice Rebak Stadium.
The two clubs are the longest serving in the Isthmian Premier Division, with Wingate & Finchley having competed in the division since 2012/13 and Invicta since 2016/17.
Invicta are currently on a run of five straight league victories, boasting a 100% record so far this month and scoring 20 goals in the process.
Invicta have the chance to go four points clear of second-place Brentwood Town with a win, currently a point clear with two games in hand.

The Opposition
A slow start to the season saw Wingate & Finchley pick up just a single point from their opening six league games and sitting 21st in the Isthmian Premier Division but a sharp upturn in form – seven wins and two draws – has lifted The Blues into the top half despite defeat to Aveley on Saturday. A standout 5-0 victory over promotion chasing Brentwood Town shows Ahmet Rifat’s side are not to be taken lightly.

The Manager
Ahmet Rifat joined Wingate & Finchley from Reading in 2005 and made over 400 appearances for the club before taking the reins as manager in 2022. Rifat has now managed over 100 games for the club, taking them to the Isthmian Premier Division play-offs in 2024.
One To Watch
Jay Saunders and his management team will be well aware of the threat posed by Wingate & Finchley’s top goalscorer Gianluca Botti, having worked with the player at Tonbridge, but if they can keep the Italian forward quiet they will still need to watch out for defender Loic Hernandez who has five goals in his last five appearances. Able to play as either a centre back or fullback, Hernandez began his career with Barnet where he played in both the National League and FA Cup 1st Round before making Wingate his home.
