Folkestone Invicta is delighted to announce the signing of defender Ike Orji.

The 22-year-old wing-back joined League Two club Gillingham from Chatham Town in 2023 and has since featured in the National League South for Welling United, Hemel Hempstead Town and Chelmsford City, before making 39 appearances in the Isthmian Premier Division last season with Cray Wanderers.

Ike joined Billericay Town in the summer but departed earlier this week.

On his latest appointment, Jay Saunders said: “I’d like to welcome Ike to the club, he’s someone I’ve known for many years. I’ve tried to sign him on numerous occasions and for one reason or another it’s not quite happened – until now.

“He’s someone that will give us competition in the areas we need it, especially with the games we’ve got coming up. He’s played the level above and at our level so I’m delighted to have him on board.”

Ike has joined up with the squad this week and will be available for selection on Saturday as we take on Dulwich Hamlet on our return home to the Alcaline Stadium. Tickets can be purchased online here.

Welcome To Cheriton Road, Ike.

In other squad news, we can also confirm that defender Finley Marjoram has departed the club.

We wish to thank Fin for his efforts during his time at Invicta and wish him all the best for the future.
