We’re getting closer!

Following months of behind-the-scenes work, we’re pleased to update supporters on the continued progress at Cheriton Road as we prepare for our return home.

Latest works & milestones:
  • The pitch has passed the ball roll test today.
  • The tarmac surfacing is now well underway and is expected to be completed by Saturday.
  • The floodlights have been lowered today to allow the system to be powered on and undergo full checks.
  • The LUX lighting test is scheduled for Thursday 9th, ensuring the pitch meets official match standards.
  • The Football Foundation will visit on Tuesday 7th to inspect the site and assess whether the stadium is ready for use. This is a key moment in gaining approval for our return to Cheriton Road.
  • In terms of infrastructure, our new goals, dugouts, and corner flags have all arrived and are now in place on the new surface.

We also need YOUR HELP as we prepare the stadium for opening. We’re inviting volunteers to join us for a stadium clear-up day on Monday 6th and Tuesday 7th October, starting from 9:00am. Breakfast rolls and coffees will be provided for those giving their time! Please email operations@folkestoneinvictafc.co.uk if you’re able to join us – we truly appreciate your help.

Thank you for your continued support. We’re nearly there, and we can’t wait to welcome you back to a transformed Cheriton Road very soon.
