Folkestone Invicta is pleased to welcome two new additions to Jay Saunders’ backroom team.
Mark Dorado joins the club as Chief Scout
Mark began his career as a scout for The New Saints FC in 2010 before going on to work with the likes of West Ham and Burnley at youth and academy level.
Most recently, he’s worked with Billericay Town – helping to rebuild the squad following their relegation from the National League South in 2022 – before supporting Welling United with their recruitment last season.
Mark said: “I feel very lucky to be involved – the club is very ambitious and has got big plans. I will be working hard to support Jay, Lloyd and Tommy in helping to push the club in the right direction.”
Stephen Bartley joins the club as Opposition Analyst
Stephen started out in scouting and his first hands-on experience came working alongside Lloyd Blackman at Whitstable Town, before following him to Margate to work under Jay Saunders.
He then spent several months producing opposition reports for Newport County in League Two, before reuniting with Jay and Lloyd at Tonbridge Angels in the National League South.
Stephen said: “I’m delighted to be working for Folkestone Invicta. It was an easy decision to follow Jay, Lloyd and Parky to the club, especially with such an exciting season ahead. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Stephen will be responsible for compiling detailed video analysis of opposition teams and providing the coaching staff with insights to aid their match preparations.
Welcome to Cheriton Road, Mark and Stephen.
