We are delighted to confirm the appointment of Kevin Lokko as club captain for the 2025/26 season, with Dean Rance appointed as vice-captain.
Lokko joined Invicta at the start of the summer, becoming Jay Saunders’ first signing as manager. Jay knows Lokko well, having previously worked with him at Maidstone United.
The defender has a wealth of experience in both the National League and Football League.
Jay spoke about Lokko’s appointment as club captain: “When you’re picking a captain you want someone who leads by example both on and off the pitch. Kev has come in and done exactly that.
“He sets high standards in everything he does and he’s the kind of leader who’ll be a great influence on the younger lads like Joel and Dillon. At the same time, he’s earned the respect of the older lads.”
Dean Rance joined Invicta midway through the 2023/24 campaign, initially on loan from Scunthorpe United before making the move permanently in the summer of 2024. Dean has since made 49 appearances for Invicta, scoring twice – including our January 2025 Goal of the Month.
Jay spoke about his new vice-captain: “Rancey is, again, someone I trust completely both on and off the pitch.
“He’s a big voice out there on the pitch and he really understands what the club’s about.”
Supporters can expect to see both players in action during tomorrow’s season opener at Chichester City. Seats are still available to book on our supporters’ coach. Click here to book.
