Team News

Jeremy Santos is expected to miss the fixture having been stretchered off in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Tonbridge Angels.

Kit

Invicta will be in our black and amber home kits on Saturday, our hosts in their white home kit.

From The Manager

First-team manager Jay Saunders spoke following Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Tonbridge Angels:

“It will be a real tough test on Tuesday night. They had a great season last year, with a young, energetic, powerful side. We want to be tested and our pre-season is planned around that, I think you can see the lads getting fitter from game to game and that’s what we want.”

“After Dover on Tuesday, we’ve got training Thursday and then Hornchurch on Saturday, then a couple more training sessions before we get into the real stuff and we are looking forward to that.

“The squad is probably not quite where I want it to be just yet, but we’re not far off. If you look at the nucleus we’ve got good depth and competition, so we will look at it this week and see if we can get another one or two through the door to really complete the squad.”

The Opposition

Dover are preparing for life back in the National League South, retaining the majority of last season’s squad while making a few additions with the likes of Kenny Coker (Cheshunt) and Decarrey Sheriff (Billericay Town).

Recent Meetings

Last season saw the first league meetings between the two clubs for nearly 20 years, a win apiece leaving the all-time league record between the clubs at three wins each.
