Team News
Manager Andy Drury looks to have an almost full squad to select from on Tuesday night, with Sam Blackman the only injury concern. Dan Smith returned to action at Cray Wanderers on Saturday to bolster the attack and Miquel Scarlett made his debut as a substitute after signing from Chatham Town last week.
From The Manager
Andy Drury spoke to our Head of Media ahead of Saturday’s match: “It will be good to be back home for 2 games this week after a run of fixtures on the road. We produced good performances and results in our last 2 home games to beat Canvey Island and Horsham, we want to get back to that on Tuesday night in front of our supporters.
Defensively we haven’t been at the level we expect over the last 3 games, we need to raise that level, to get back to doing the basic right, give ourselves a platform to build on to go and win games. We can’t go into games scoring 2 or 3 goals and still coming away with nothing, we’ve found form in front of goal over the past month but we need to do things right in our own box.”
The Opposition
After winning the Isthmian South East Division playoffs last season, Chichester City are at their highest level since their formation in 2000 and are knocking on the door of back-to-back playoff finishes. Having been sat in 17th in mid-December, an unbeaten run of 11 games elevated The Lilywhites into contention for the playoffs. Hashtag United brought that run to an end on Saturday, leaving Chichester 7 points off 5th place with 11 games to play. Tuesday’s fixture comes in the middle of a torrid run of fixtures, with credible draws against Dartford and Cray Valley preceding the Hashtag defeat and meetings with Cray Wanderers and Billericay Town on the horizon.

Recent Meetings
Invicta lead the head-to-head 2 wins to 1 against Chichester City, although both our wins have come in cup competitions with Chichester taking the 3 points when the sides met earlier in the season. Dan Smith’s early goal had Invicta in front before Jimmy Wild levelled the scores in the second half and Isaac Bello snatched the win in injury time.
Chichester City visited Cheriton Road in 2022 for an FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round tie. Goals from Ade Yusuff and Josh Vincent had Invicta 2-0 up early on before Ira Jackson jr. completed a 3-0 win late on. You can watch highlights on Invicta TV.

Key Man
With 22 goals in 29 appearances, Jimmy Wild is the Isthmian Premier Division top scorer, with 5 in 8 at the start of 2025 taking him above Wingate & Finchley’s Ogo Obi and Dulwich Hamlet’s Luke Wanadio. Wild struck against Invicta earlier in the season to equalise before setting up the winning goal in injury time, keeping him quiet in the final 3rd will be key to keeping a clean sheet.
