After washing ourselves off following Saturday’s 4-1 win over Bognor Regis Town in a mud bath at the Alcaline Stadium, Invicta will finally make the trip to Horsham’s Fusion Aviation Community Stadium on Tuesday evening, looking to add an away win to a run of 3 straight victories at home.
This is the FIFTH date set for the fixture, originally scheduled for Saturday 14th September. Horsham’s FA Cup run to the 1st Round has forced a number of postponements, and may have even been due another had they not fallen to League 2 side Chesterfield.
Invicta come into the fixture sitting 8th in the Isthmian Premier Division. A win would see Invicta climb at least 1 place, although we could end the night in 5th should other results go our way.
Team News
Both fullback Chris Sessegnon and winger Khale Da Costa are both expected to miss the trip as they near a return from injury.
The manager will be waiting on the fitness of both Matthias Fanimo and Marvel Ekpiteta who both went off during Saturday’s win over Bognor Regis.
From The Manager
Manager Andy Drury spoke ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Sussex: “After a run of home games we face a tough trip to Horsham on Tuesday night. They made the playoffs last season and have had good runs in both the FA Cup and FA Trophy, beating quality opposition from higher leagues, so we are aware how tough a match lies in front of us.
We want to keep our good form going and carry our momentum through these two trips to Sussex before we return back home next month. Three home wins in a row has got us into a good position to look up at those sitting above us with our games in hand, with the busy Christmas period on the horizon.”
Previously
Invicta have picked up 2 wins from 5 visits to the Fusion Aviation Community Stadium since its opening in 2019. A single goal from Johan Ter Horst secured Invicta 3 points on our first ever visit to what was then named the Camping World Community Stadium.
Invicta have taken 4 wins from the last 5 meetings between the sides, including a 3-1 win in our last meeting back in April. You can recap the highlights on Invicta TV.

Key Man
Experienced forward Chris Dickson is currently Horsham’s top goalscorer so far this season, but Horsham’s attack is full of quality across the front line. Winger Ola Ogunwamide has plenty of appearances under his belt both at Isthmian League level and in the National League North & South, having spent time at Hornchurch, Concord Rangers, Bishop’s Stortford and Lewes over the past 3 years. The 25 year old possess plenty of pace and an ability to score goals that will mean Invicta will need to keep him quiet on Tuesday evening.
