Folkestone Invicta are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Amadou Kassaraté.
The 28 year old joins us from Bishop’s Stortford where he finished last season in the National League North.
Having been on the books of Tottenham Hotspur and Welling United as a youth player, Amadou began his senior career with Walton Casuals before moving to Scotland to join Dumbarton.
After a spell back in England with Cheshunt, Amadou heading abroad again, this time to Greece with Thesprotos.
Since returning to England in 2019, the midfielder has had 2 spells back with Cheshunt where he scored in their Isthmian Premier Division playoff final win at Hornchurch to secure promotion to the National League South.
Amadou has since spent the past 2 seasons playing in the National League South with Welling United before his spell with Bishop’s Stortford at the back end of last season.
Manager Andy Drury spoke about his latest addition: “I’m delighted to be able to bring Amadou into the club. He’s the type of midfielder we have been missing so far this season. We are fortunate he has come available after a couple of deals fallen through with clubs at a higher level.”
