Folkestone Invicta are delighted to announce the signing of winger Ellis Brown.
Born in London, Ellis came through the academy at Charlton Athletic before signing his first professional contract with Southend United in 2014.
Ellis had spells with East Thurrock, Tonbridge Angels, Merstham (loan), Dartford, Thurrock, Waltham Abbey and Merstham for a second (permanent) spell before joining Hornchurch in February 2020.
While at Hornchurch, Ellis won the 2021 FA Trophy, scoring in the final at Wembley against Hereford.

Brown went on to play 90 games for The Urchins, reaching 2 Isthmian Premier Division Playoff Finals, before departing early in the 2023/24 season to join Cray Wanderers, where he scored 9 goals in 40 appearances last season.
Ellis joined up with the squad earlier in the summer as he has looked to recover from an injury and made appearances against Deal Town and Margate, wearing the number 7 shirt on Saturday as he played nearly an hour.
Manager Andy Drury spoke about his latest addition: “Ellis is a top player for this league. We have been speaking all summer but he had a slight injury so we had to wait for him to get over that. He will had work rate and quality in the final third and I’m delighted to sign him.”
Welcome to Cheriton Road, Ellis.
We can also confirm that winger Joan Luque has departed the club, having made the decision to return to Spain. We wish Joan all the best for the future.
