Folkestone Invicta Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Evans Kouassi.

The forward signs for Invicta having departed fellow Isthmian Premier Division side Canvey Island after a 4 year spell  at the club where he scored 63 goals in 125 appearances.

During his time at the Movistar Arena Evans helped Canvey reach the 2nd round of the FA Cup in 2020/21, promotion to the Isthmian Premier Division via the Isthmian North Division playoffs in 2021/22 before reaching the Premier Division Playoffs in the 2022/23 season.

Evans is a familiar face around non-league, especially in Essex having played for Billericay, Chelmsford, Concord Rangers and Heybridge Swifts before his spell at Canvey Island. He has also featured for Hayes & Yeading, Enfield Town, Bishop’s Stortford, Kingstonian and Wealdstone as well as a spell in Cyprus with Ermis Aradippou but will now make Kent his home for the first time.

Manager Andy Drury spoke this morning about his latest addition to the squad: “I’m delighted to sign Evans. He’s a proven goalscorer at this level, he offers us something different to the rest of our front line with his pace and directness. From our first meeting his ambitions for next season matched ours and I’m sure he will do well this season.”
