Folkestone Invicta are delighted to announce the signing of Johnathan Henly.

The 30 year old makes the move across Kent having departed National South side Tonbridge Angels at the end of the 23/24 campaign.

Johnathan has spent the last 7 years as number 1 at Longmead, joining on an initial loan from Hemel Hempstead in March 2017 before signing for the club permanently and going on to make over 300 appearances.

Born in Woking, Jonny came through at Reading before going on to gain National League experience for both Aldershot and Welling United before his move to Kent.

Jonny will be a familiar face to some at Invicta having come up against Neil Cugley’s sides on several occasions before the Angels were promoted to the National League South in the 2019 Super Playoff Final with a win over Met Police.

Andy Drury spoke upon securing his new keeper: “I’m delighted to sign Jonny Henly, he’s a proven goalkeeper at National League and National South level. He’s going to be a top keeper for this club in the coming years, he’s a really good character, a good shot stopper and commands his area well and I really look forward to working with him.”
