Folkestone Invicta are delighted to announce the signing of Frankie Morgan from Sheppey United.
The 22 year old left back makes the move from the Isle of Sheppey to the Kent coast after nearly 2 years at Holm Park.
Having come through the youth system at Charlton Athletic, Frankie established himself in senior football as a teenager at Corinthian Football Club in the Southern Counties East Football League during 2 seasons broken by the COVID19 pandemic. Promotion to the Isthmian South East Division came in 2021, with Frankie making 34 appearances as Corinthian finished 8th.
After impressing during his first season at Step 4, Frankie made the move to newly promoted Sheppey United early in 2022/23 season, making 36 appearances as they missed out on the playoffs on the final day.
Frankie made another 48 appearances for The Ites last season, more than any other player, as they again fell just short of the Isthmian South East playoffs.
Andy Drury spoke about his latest signing: “I’m delighted to sign Frankie, he was one of the stand out left backs in step 4 with real energy and quality and I’m sure he will fit in really well with what we are doing here.”
Welcome to Folkestone Invicta, Frankie.
