Invicta
Tuesday night’s draw with Concord Rangers saw Invicta make it 7 games unbeaten and Andy Drury will be hoping to extend that run into the summer.
Cameron Brodie and Jason Fregene were both forced off in the 1st half on Tuesday night so are a doubt for Saturday’s match.
Ups & Downs
With Hornchurch promoted as champions, Chatham Town have secured a spot in the playoffs and on Saturday they can be joined by Enfield Town and Wingate & Finchley who both only need a point. Horsham, Billericay Town and Hastings United also remain in contention.
Three clubs have had their relegations confirmed, Cheshunt and Margate continue to battle to avoid them. Should our Kent rivals fail to at least match Cheshunt’s result on Saturday they will be relegated, but it is likely they will need at least 4 points from their final 2 matches so they will be looking for a win at home to Wingate & Finchley while Cheshunt host Canvey Island on Saturday and then Horsham on Tuesday night.
From The Manager
Manager Andy Drury spoke on Thursday morning:
“We haven’t been at our best at home this season but we have only lost once at home in 2024, to the champions, and we are now 7 unbeaten. We want to finish off the season on a high and take that run into the summer and then into next season as we look to make Cheriton Road a fortress and make teams fear travelling to us.
We also want to send the supporters into the summer on a high. We want to see a big crowd on Saturday and are expecting to see a big following at Bognor Regis on the final day, we want to supporters to see us pick up wins and put in performances that they deserve after a difficult season.
Previously
Dulwich Hamlet’s last visit to the Cheriton Road was our final home fixture of the 2017/18 season, with the visitors running our 3-0 winners thanks to 3 goals in 5 minutes in the 1st half.
Hamlet won the reverse fixture back in November 3-1, with Kane Penn scoring for Invicta.
The Opposition
Following relegation from the National League South last season, Dulwich Hamlet’s return to the Isthmian Premier Division sees them currently in 9th place, 9 points from the playoffs with 2 games to play.
The danger man for Dulwich is former Invicta winger Luke Wanadio who has 21 goals in 45 appearances so far this season.
