Folkestone Invicta Football Club are delighted to announce that Andy Drury will remain in charge for the 2024/25 season.

Drury assumed the role of first-team manager back in November, tasked with consolidating the club’s status in the Isthmian Premier Division, stabilising team performances and developing a more consistent style of play.

Having found much more rhythm in recent weeks, delivering some impressive and solid performances, Drury and his team have secured four wins in the last six games, even producing a battling display in a narrow defeat to Hastings on Monday.

A 3-1 home victory against Lewes on Good Friday saw the club climb to fourth place in the league’s form guide table. Given this recent upturn in results and on-pitch performance, Drury now has the opportunity to take the club forward into next season and build on this momentum.

On this responsibility, Drury said: “I’m delighted and honoured to continue managing the club and I’m really grateful to Josh (Healey) and the rest of the board for giving me the chance to carry on the work that we’ve been doing.”

With player retentions and recruitment for the 2024/25 campaign already underway, Drury added: “We need people who are going to come in and fight for me, fight for the club and fight for the fans, giving everything they’ve got for the club.

“Next season is going to be a lot better. I want to start on the front foot and be competing at the top of the table.

“The play-offs will be the goal from the minute we come back after pre-season.”

On behalf of the Board of Directors, FIFC Chairman Josh Healey, said: “We’re convinced that Dukes is going to achieve great things at the club next season.

“I’ve personally been pleased with the honesty, transparency and commitment he has shown from the minute he stepped up last year, and I’m looking forward to working closely with him again, in our joint efforts to build success next season.

“As ever, I’d like to give a huge thanks to our fans for their continued support, as we await an exciting season ahead.”

Further announcements regarding the management team and squad will be communicated in due course.
