News from the Alcaline Stadium

Andy Drury will be delighted to welcome a few names back into his squad for Saturday’s match.

The midfield will be boosted by the returns of Seidou Sanogo from suspension, Dean Rance who has extended his loan and Ade Cole, while defender Ian Gayle will be hoping to return from injury.

Defender Toby Byron will serve the final match of his suspension following his dismissal against Hornchurch.

From The Manager

Manager Andy Drury spoke ahead of training on Thursday evening:

“We are looking to bounce back from last week’s result but I think we performed well for 70 minutes and we need to turn that into a full 90 to get the right results, starting on Saturday. We will have some back in the squad that were missing at Whitehawk which will help us massively with our options both for how we start and how we can make changes during the game. The whole squad is ready for Concord, we have 2 important home games this week and it is vital we get the performance right and pick up the results we need.”

Previously

Invicta fell to a 2-1 defeat when the sides met in Essex in September. Invicta took the lead through Jordon Ababio but ended up leaving with nothing thanks to goals from Harrison Day and Jahjae Anderson.

The Opposition

After a slow start to the season, Concord Rangers have given themselves a fighting chance of survival.

Having failed to pick up a single point from their opening 7 games of the season, Concord have picked up 21 from the next 18 to leave themselves in 20th place, 4 points from safety with 5 games in hand.

Concord come into Saturday off the back of a 2-1 win over promotion chasing Billericay Town on Tuesday night, but that was just their 2nd win in 11 games.
