After an unbeaten start to 2024 Invicta travel to the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium in North London to visit 3rd place Enfield Town

From The Managers

Andy Drury spoke on Thursday evening:

“We’ve had a good week of training working towards Saturday which is the start of a busy period. We are going there with a positive mindset and looking to come home with 3 points. It’s been a good start to 2024 and we want to keep that run going.”

Previously

Enfield took the 3 points when the sides met back in August. Marcus Wyllie and Oliver Knight struck for Enfield before Callum Davies cut the deficit but Invicta failed to find an equaliser.

Invicta took 4 points from the fixtures last season, a 1-1 draw in North London on the opening day of the season followed by a 3-0 home win in February.

Our recent record at Donkey Lane is good, with 7 points from our last 3 visits. Previous to last season’s draw Invicta have taken a 3-2 win in December 2021 and a 3-1 win in November 2019.

The Opposition

Enfield currently sit 3rd in the Isthmian Premier Division with 43 points from 22 games.

They are currently joint 2nd highest scorers in the division with only leaders Hornchurch having found the net more often.

Sam Youngs (18) and Marcus Wyllie (17) are top scorers this season and both have 14 in the league, leaving them joint 3rd top scorers behind Davide Rodari and Liam Nash.
