We welcome Isthmian South East side Sittingbourne to the Alcaline Stadium for a mid-season friendly ahead of the Christmas period
From The Manager
Speaking ahead of the fixture Andy Drury said:
“Firstly I would like to thank Sittingbourne for travelling down to us on Thursday night.
We want the chance to get minutes into legs. We have a number of the squad who are either coming back from injury or who haven’t played a lot in the past month, Callum Davies with his suspension and we have had 2 fixtures postponed this month so that is what we are looking for on Thursday.”
The sides haven’t met since the 2015/16 season in the Isthmian South Division. Invicta won both fixtures that season.
Invicta have won 7 of the last 8 meetings, going back to 2012, with a goalless draw in 2013 the only time The Brickies have avoided defeat.
Sittingbourne currently sit 3rd in the Isthmian South East Division with 31 points from 15 matches.
Defender Jake Goodman made 10 appearances for The Brickies while on loan at the start of the season.
All our fixtures are pay on the gate with no tickets sold in advance. Both cash and card are accepted on our turnstiles. Please arrive as early as possible to avoid queues at the turnstiles. Please note that the Sid Burvill turnstiles will NOT be open and admission will be at the Dugout turnstiles only.
