Cheriton Road hosts Boxing Day football for the first time since 2019 as Hastings United make the trip along the coast.

Invicta are unbeaten on Boxing Day since a 2-1 defeat to Hythe Town at Reachfields in 2012. Hythe Town also won 2-1 in 2014 but the fixture was played on Sunday the 27th.

It is the first time Invicta have hosted a Boxing Day fixture since 2019, a 4-0 win over Margate.

Previously

The sides played out a goalless draw in August 2022 following Hastings promotion from the Isthmian South East Division as champions.

Hastings took all 3 points when the sides met again on a Tuesday evening at Pilot Field back in February and also won 2-0 in the Velocity Cup 4th Round tie earlier this month.

The Opposition

Our visitors currently sit 7th in the Isthmian Premier Division, just 2 points outside the playoffs, with 30 points from 19 games.

Hastings are currently 4 games unbeaten in all competitions, 3 games away from home.

Davide Rodari is top goalscorer and struck the opening goal when the sides met earlier this month.
