MODEST RISE IN ADMISSION PRICES VITAL IF WE ARE TO EVEN MATCH WHAT WE ACHIEVED LAST YEAR SAYS DIRECTOR

Most supporters will already be well aware that the cost of Season Tickets and gate admission prices has risen as we approach the new challenges Folkestone Invicta will have to face in the 2018/19 campaign we all enjoyed last time round.

Director and former Chairman Jim Pellatt -  pictured with his successor Paul Morgan - explains the thinking behind the changes.

Jim said: “After much deliberation, and taking into account the interests of our long-standing loyal supporters, the Board decided that we need to apply a modest increase in both Season Ticket and Admission prices for the 2018/19 season.

It is important that we maintain our progress on the field, whilst maintaining our financial stability off the field. The two go hand in hand at any sensibly run football club.

Following the team’s success last season, our players have quite naturally attracted interest from other clubs – majority of which can afford to run with bigger wage budgets than we do.

To even try to maintain the standards we achieved last year the quality of players we need to bring in means that we are often looking at those from a higher level than we might have done in previous years.

We are continuing to work with one of the lower playing budgets in our division, but I believe most supporters would agree that the players deserved a modest increase for everything they achieved last season.

We have therefore brought in what we hope you will agree is a similarly modest increase in the price of Season Tickets and gate admission prices ahead of the forthcoming 2018/19 campaign.

I am sure that we are all of one mind that wanting this Football Club to be the best it possibly can be both on and off the field and I must thank you all for your continued understanding and much valued support."
