Statement from the Chairman

Yesterday afternoon the FA announced that this seasons league competition for steps 3-6 will now be Null and Void with no promotion or relegation for any teams.

I can’t tell you that this comes as a massive disappointment to every involved with Folkestone Invicta football club as we all have worked very hard to get in the position we were in for most of the season. But this is no ones fault and the decision has not been taken likely by the FA and as a club we all fully understand and support. All we can do now is keep going and try and come back a stronger club.

I would like to thank each and everyone associated to this fantastic football club. The staff, the players, the sponsors, the volunteers and the supporters. Like I have said many times before without you this football club would not be in the position it is now and I just hope we can continue next season the way we did this season.

As you all know the football club has no income coming in until this is over. All events at Bar Invicta has had to be cancelled but we still have money to pay out and the finances are going to be very tight. I have seen on the forum and web site that the supporters club has started a donation page to raise money for the football club to get us over this very bad period and again I can’t thank you all who have donated. This is what I mean when I tell people what a fantastic club this is and I am very proud to be a part of it.

So please all stay safe keep yourselves healthy and see you all very soon

Regards,

Paul Morgan
