I’ve finally had a chance to go through the photos from the bus trip last Saturday, apologies for the delay in getting them posted.

Thanks to the Kent Youth League, KitToFit and Stagecoach for arranging the bus and I would also like to thank Oakley Photosport for supplying the images.

Before setting off on the trip, players were presented with their Kent Youth League Championship medals by Manager Paul Stanton.

The lads are pictured not only with their medals, but also the three trophies they won, during their fantastic season. Unfortunately, not all the players were available on the day due to work or other commitments, but there was a reasonable turnout.

The lads proudly showing off their trophies before starting the journey.

Showing the trophies to the crowds (!) at Sandgate. I’m sure we had nearly as many as Liverpool did for their Champions League Cup winning parade last Sunday!!

Ryan Alldritt (left) and Ethan Farnham (right) with the Kent Youth League and KitToFit League Cup.

Hector Dupree looking thoughtful with the Kent F.A. Youth Cup, and for once not leading the singing!

We all made it back in one piece, although there were some anxious moments with the over-hanging branches, you can see why a bus normally has a roof!!

Well that’s it, the end of the road proverbially and literally! Thanks for all you’ve achieved this season lads, you’ve made everyone at the club proud of your achievements and good luck to those of you moving on. Finally, thanks to all the players’ parents and relations, who give up their valuable time to transport them to training and matches both home and away, your help is much appreciated.

The trials for next season started on Thursday, and the new set of players have only got to win the ‘treble’ - Good luck Stano and Batesy!

The squad that played in the majority of the games this season, with Pen Pictures written by Stano is as follows;

Joe Coleman  - Goalkeeper Joe came to Invicta from Dartford 2 years ago having been at Gillingham for a few years. He is great to have in the team and gets taller by the day!

Chris Calthorpe  - Chris has spent many years with Invicta, with a brief spell away but he is now back and improving with each game.

Finn Wood - Finn has been with Invicta for 2 years having originally played for Smeeth and has been a big asset to the team.

Jack Price  - Jack came to us last season having also played for Smeeth and has been a regular in midfield contributing strength and commitment.

Joss Wickham - Joss has formed a formidable partnership at the back and has been very impressive this season

Jake Grant - Jake has been with Folkestone for a number of years and moved up to the U18s towards the end of last year due to his impressive performances and attitude and has continued in that vein this season

Ethan Madden  - Ethan returned to Folkestone last season after enjoying 2 years at Brighton Academy. He is now a regular in the Folkestone Invicta First Team squad and is thought of very highly.

Ethan Farnham - Ethan is hard-working and never misses a session. He has improved immensely and is a vital member of the squad.

Hector Dupree - Hector is our Portuguese music man in the changing rooms (it is certainly a taste for the U18s and not the management!!). Hector is great to work with and is a highly technical player.

Shawn Ikwuagua  - Shawn writes the music that Hector plays I suspect!! Shawn comes from Canterbury to train, he is strong and powerful and a delight  to work with.

Kieron Jones - ‘Jonesy’ has been with Folkestone for 3  seasons after spells at Chatham Town and Canterbury City. He has a great football brain and can play literally anywhere .

Tyler Sterling - Tyler has been with Folkestone for a few seasons having played on the Marsh before that. He has great technical ability.

Brad Baker  – Brad joined Invicta from Dover four seasons ago and has scored many important goals for us both this season and last. Brad works hard and recently became part of the First Team squad.

Ryan Alldritt - Ryan has struggled this season with injuries, but when fit he is a handful for any team.

Jordan Small  – Been at Folkestone Invicta since the age of 7 and has improved season on season and his loyalty and ability is never in question.

Ben Binder - Ben has joined us mid season after the folding of Kennington and is a good addition to the squad.

Ollie Mitchell - Ollie is an exceptional goalkeeper and has pushed Joe all the way for his place.
