The board would like to put out the following statement.

"Firstly, the FIFC Board of Directors would like to wish our loyal
Fans/Sponsors a very happy New Year. As we have entered a New Year the
Board has written a short summary of the current progress of the club.

The ground has passed the grading requirements with flying colours. This
includes the required modifications of our home/away changing rooms to
the new standards of the Football Association, completed thanks to the
many volunteers who worked so hard in their free time to help.
We are currently obtaining quotes for the tarmacking of the end terrace
which hopefully will be completed in the Spring of 2019. The
improvement/upgrade of our floodlights is in process and will involve a
Football Foundation Grant. This would be in conjunction with the
completion of our new lease with SDC at the meeting in January 2019.
The football pitch has never been better so the hard work of the
groundsmen and investment has paid off.

1st Team
The team is currently well placed in the league and even with a mid-
season injury crisis we have continued to pick up valuable points. With
players returning from injury we can start the year on a positive
perspective and look forward to the rest of the season.
With the Club being well run and financially stable the days of selling
valuable players due to finances is a distant memory. We are now
planning next season and negotiating with current and new players to
enhance the playing squad.

Youth Section.
We can proudly report that we have one of the best Youth Sections in
Kent. We currently have 22 teams that are administered with great
excellence and produce numerous successful teams. The Under 18’s are
currently top of their league and some of the players are regularly
involved in the 1st team squad.

We must thank all our sponsors who continue to support our club. There
are very few clubs who manage to get all games and players sponsored.
These loyal firms and individuals are an asset to the club.

Wilf Armoury Suite provides excellent hospitality for the away Directors
and match sponsors and often receive compliments from visiting clubs.
The Bar also now makes an ongoing healthy profit and provides a warm
atmosphere for new and loyal customers.
Bar Invicta we can proudly say that following investment and hard work
is now is getting its rewards. It is getting booked well in advance for
various functions and is a venue to be proud.
Both tea bars are now open for all games and again investment and hard
work has paid off. Both tea bars continue to improve in order to satisfy
our fans and visitors.
The Board is proud of what has been achieved over the latter few years.
The Club continues to grow and improve without risking financial
instability. As we have said before ‘Rome was not built in a day’ but
with hard work and good housekeeping. Every season we see the demise of
‘one investor clubs’ that often only enjoy success for a short period of
We are committed to working in the best interest of Folkestone Invicta
and would like to finish with a sincere thank you to everyone involved
(staff, volunteers, sponsors, fans, followers) who make Folkestone
Invicta a club to be proud of.
