PRAISE FOR FUND-RAISERS AND VOLUNTEERS FROM JIM PELLATT ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD

Invicta Vice-Chairman Jim Pellatt (RIGHT WITH  CHAIRMAN PAUL MORGAN) has asked us to make public the board’s appreciation of the work being done in and around the club, highlighted by two events last weekend – the Paul Parker Dinner Evening and Sunday’s record-breaking Fireworks Displayat the Fullicks Stadium.

Jim writes: "What a wonderful week for events at our club. Sunday night's Fireworks
night was a roaring (excuse the pun) success, and is a testament to Commercial Man and Tea Bars Manager Mark
Hardie (BELOW LEFT) who worked tirelessly and skilfully, with the administration,
organisation, licenses and plans, tomake the night so successful.

“We had a capacity gate. Matt Norris and his staff worked like trojans in Bar
Invicta to maximise takings in a packed bar, and as is so often the
case, our terrific supporters came to our aid, and gave up their free
time as volunteers on the night.

“We thank them all, and are so lucky to have all those of you who work, either occasionally, or week in, week out without expecting much other than the occasional word of thanks from someone on the board.”
“Sunday’s Fireworks Display had followed on from Neil Cugley's work and expertise, in organising the Paul Parker dinner, which everyone enjoyed, and which made more very welcome extra income for the club.

“Paul Parker did a great job and has been a friend of the club now for many years but no-one should underestimate the work Neil carried out in bringing the evening to fruition.

“Particular thanks to Ted Bourne for organising such a highly successful and lucrative raffle.

“The extra revenue raised at these events means more money can be directed towards our playing budget, and establishing Folkestone Invicta at the highest level we have attained and sustained in the club's history.

“We are always looking at ways to improve the team, and take the club forward in a manner where success is sustainable.
Every season we hear of clubs that overreach what they can manage to fund going forward, leading to the inevitable financial woes.

“Another important source of revenue, are the Matchday 50/50 and the Golden
Goals. tickets sold around the ground .

"Ted, Phil Jordan and Mick give up their time on match-days to sell tickets and
do a great job.

“Everything that they raise does come to the club, so please give them your very best support by buying tickets.

“We thank every single one of you for your support, and our volunteers who work so hard for the club in many different ways.

“It is also too easy to forget the work so efficiently but quietly done, by Richard Murrill,  Elaine and Alan Orsbourne, our wonderful physio Abi Winstanley, programme sponsor Dave Newgrosh new PA man Aidie Dawkes, Travel Supremo John Law, who does so much and others incudling the media team and ground workers who give their time so generously to the club.

“Chairman Paul Morgan and the Directors, Neil Cugley, his coaching staff, the players, all of the volunteers and supporters only have one joint aim -

"SUCCESS FOR YOUR CLUB - Folkestone nvicta FC!"
