Andy Morris (2000/2001) |

A contemporary at The Harvey of our first supporters player of the year, Mr Carney. Mo made his debut for his home town side for the short-lived Folkestone 1990 formed by ‘owner’ Neil Jefferies in the wake of the demise of the old Folkestone Town club a few month earlier. But Andy really made his name playing at right back for Cugs when the pair of them were at Ashford along with Jeff Ross, Dave Arter, big Carlton Wynter and the rest, who all went on to grace Invicta’s colours. Arguably the best right back in the county in his prime. Possibly the first Folkestone player to have a song sung on the terraces about him – even if it pertained to his somewhat premature lack of hair. Deadly penalty-taker. Only Le Tissier missed fewer in the same era. |
