Looking Ahead to the 2019/20 Season - Final Update

Since the three articles appeared on the website at the start of the week, I’ve had one last check through the club websites (also thanks to Ian Townsend at the Isthmian League, as he puts as much information on the League site as he is made aware of), and the following players have signed for or left BetVictor Isthmian League Premier Division clubs since. This will be the final update before the season, but during it, I’ll show transfers involving clubs in the Premier Division.

Bishop’s Stortford

Having had seventeen year old Ben Warman on loan from Cambridge United last season, the midfielder has returned to the ProKit Stadium for this, again on loan.

Bognor Regis Town

Freddie Read has left the club to go on a university scholarship in America.

Brightlingsea Regent

‘Regent’ have signed former Concord Rangers, Redbridge and Barkingside player Rigers Kabashi, who also played for England as a schoolboy.

East Thurrock United

‘The Rocks’ have picked up midfielder Warren Thomas, who last season played for Ashford Town (Middx). They have also signed another midfielder in Duncan Corbett, who previously played Youth Team football at Ross County in Scotland plus US college football, and defender/midfielder Ayo Olukoga from Romford, although he did make one appearance for Cheshunt last season.

Haringey Borough

The following four players have all become part of Haringey’s squad for next season, with a familiar name amongst them; Denzil Ossai-Emmanuel, Konstantinos Alexandrou, Anthos Solomou and Sal Kisitu, the former Folkestone Invicta and Hythe Town full back.

Hornchurch

‘The Urchins’ have signed midfielder Garrett Kelly, who has had previous Isthmian League experience at Aveley and Romford, although his most recent club was Nafpaktiakos Asteras, who play in the Gamma Ethniki which is the fourth level in Greece.

Horsham

In their squad announcement made on Wednesday, ‘The Hornets’ confirmed they have added goalkeepers George Bentley (Brighton & Hove Albion U18s) and Sebastian Oldham (Haringey Borough), whilst midfielder Jack Hartley, who made three appearances for the club last season, has left for South-East Division and Sussex neighbours Haywards Heath Town.

Merstham

Midfielder Chace Jacquart has joined ‘The Moatsiders’ having made nine appearances for Kingstonian last season when current Merstham Manager Frank Wilson was part of ‘The Ks’ management team. Away from signings, one other piece of news as the club have announced their ground will now be known as The Whisky Bible Stadium.
