That's All Folks!! - Play-Offs Finally Finished!!

Yesterday  saw the completion of the post-season Play-Off games with the Step 3 Super Play-Off Finals and both ended 2-2 after ninety minutes and then saw the away teams win 3-2 after extra time.

 SUPER PLAY-OFF FINAL RESULTS

Metropolitan Police                         2             Tonbridge Angels                              3 (aet)

Warrington Town                             2             King’s Lynn Town                              3 (aet)

This means that King’s Lynn Town will be promoted to the Motorama National League North Division and Tonbridge Angels will be promoted to the South Division.

So, what does that do for the Bostik League Premier Division for next season? The League constitutions should be confirmed by the FA early next week and then will be ratified at the various Leagues’ AGMs. I would add that there is still one issue outstanding that could affect the Division, but we won’t worry about that for now.

How about this?

Bishop’s Stortford, Bognor Regis Town, Bowers & Pitsea (promoted from the North Division as Champions), Brightlingsea Regent, Carshalton Athletic, Cheshunt (promoted from the South-Central Division as Play-Off winners), Corinthian-Casuals, Cray Wanderers (promoted from the South East Division as Champions), East Thurrock United (relegated from the Vanarama National League South Division), Enfield Town, Folkestone Invicta, Haringey Borough, Hornchurch (formerly AFC Hornchurch), Horsham (promoted from the South-East Division as Play-Off winners), Kingstonian, Leatherhead, Lewes, Margate, Merstham, Potters Bar Town, Wingate & Finchley and Worthing.

I’m guessing this will now leave Margate and Cray Wanderers as our Bank Holiday/Christmas  fixtures, although ‘The Wands’ are only marginally nearer than Merstham!
