Youth Team Go Out the President's Cup

On a chilly night at the Fullick’s Stadium, Cray Wanderers Youth Team knocked Invicta’s Youth Team out of a cup competition for the second time this season. Having won 4-1 earlier in the season in the F.A. Youth Cup they completed the ‘double’ with a 2-0 victory in the President’s Cup  Semi-Final.

In what was a fast and entertaining game that was a credit to both sides, two goals from Joseph Barber either side of the half-time break were the deciding factor, although both teams had a number of chances. There was further disappointment when  Jack Price was sent off late in the second half for his second yellow.

Cray Wanderers will now play Ramsgate at Corinthian on Thursday 9th May, good luck to them in the Final.

The two squads that took part in the game were;

Folkestone Invicta - Joe Coleman, Chris Calthorpe, Finn Wood, Kieron Jones, Ethan Madden (capt), Joss Wickham, Jack Price, Ethan Farnham, Jordan Small, Hector Dupree, Bradley Baker, Ryan Aldritt, Shawn Ikwuagua, Jacob Emrry & Lewis Creed

Cray Wanderers - Tiwalade Fujimade, Jack Gemmel, Frankie Morgan, Benjamin Hullett, Joseph Barber, Lee Lewis, Deshon Carty, Robert Daye, Ronnie Paune, Kyrique Garvey-Williams (capt), Neil Spencer, Benjamin Newman, Kola Salami & Benjamin Leeson.

Don’t forget we are at home again on Sunday when Sheppey United visit for a Kent Youth League game, kick-off 11:00am.
