Invicta boss Neil Cugley was delighted with Folkestone’s 2-1 win over Corinthian Casuals on Tuesday evening.

“I thought they were a good side, but didn’t make the most of their chances, which – thankfully we did.

“There was a lot of pace about the game between two attacking sides and I think most of the fans from both sides enjoyed it.

“We’ve now got to start turning the ‘good performances’ into more wins, starting this weekend at Harlow Town.”

Invicta will be at virtually full strength again and Cugs said: “Matt Newman came in for Phil Starkey who’s got a bit of a hamstring problem so Matt will almost certainly keep his place.

“They (Harlow) have got another 3G pitch and we’ve got to start getting the results on these all- weather playing surfaces. We can’t keep using that as an excuse when we don’t win – we’re better and more than to do that.”

Invicta will play Ashford Town of the South East Division at Homelands next Tuesday in a game designed to give some of the fringe players some game-time.

“Sam Hasler, for one, needs to get going again while the others like Nick Shaw desperately to see a b it of action.”

Good news is that Kieron McCann is nearly back to 100 per cent fitness though as reported earlier this, the luckless Ronnie Dolan now looks unlikely to play again this season.

Kick off at The Homelands is 7.45pm.
