YOU HAD TO BE THERE, BUT MANY STAYED AWAY

The Kent Reliance Senior Cup is fairly low priority for most clubs, with the quarter-final between old arch rivals Dover Athletic and Folkestone Invicta getting underway at the third attempt at Crabble on Monday.

Both sides were some way below full strength though the margin of Folketone's victory will suprise some people who could be misled.

Below are three pictures by Dave Shackle - including two of Folkestone goals in their 6-0 win.

Top pic - Josh Vincent (4) has his feet back firmly on the ground while stunned oppsotion players haven't yet reatised what was happening. Popular defender JV was unavailable for Saturday's game at Wingate & Finchley, but made up for that by powerfully heading in Scott Heard's 20th minute corner to make it 2-0 to the visitors after Johan Ter Horst had given them a very early lead with the first of his two goals on the night.

Second pic - the inclusion of last season's top scorer Joe Taylor was one of six changings from Saturday's starting line-up. Taylor completed had made it 4-0 to Folkestone on the stroke of half-time and scored his second goal of the game from the penalty spot after Ter Horst was bundled over in the box on the hour.

Bottom pic - Few Invicta fans ever expected to see a scoreline like this up in lights at Crabble, and a win over the old enemy will put everyone at the club in good spirits as they renew their bid for a play-off place in the Bostik Premier Division with a home game against Harrow Borough at the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.

Thanks for the pics Shax!! Much appreciated!!
